Ravens Vs. Patriots Inactives: New England Thin At Wide Receiver, Punt Returner

FOXBORO, Mass — The New England Patriots made some notable inactive decisions for their “Monday Night Football” matchup with the Baltimore Ravens.

Wide receiver Danny Amendola, cornerback Eric Rowe, safety Jordan Richards, offensive tackle LaAdrian Waddle, defensive tackle Woodrow Hamilton, running back D.J. Foster and wide receiver Griff Whalen are the Patriots’ inactives.

That means tight end Martellus Bennett, who was listed on this week’s injury report, and special teamer Matthew Slater, who missed the last two games, will be active. But without Amendola and Whalen, Slater will be the team’s fourth wideout behind Julian Edelman, Chris Hogan and Malcolm Mitchell. Edelman and cornerback Cyrus Jones likely are the two leading candidates at punt returner.

Cornerback Chris Lewis-Harris, running backs Lorenzo Taliaferro and Javorius Allen, offensive lineman Ryan Jensen and Alex Lewis, tight end Crockett Gillmore and linebacker Za’Darius Smith are the Ravens’ inactives.
