Richard Sherman Calls ‘Thursday Night Football’ An ‘Absolute Poopfest’

If it wasn’t clear already, we now know Seattle Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman really isn’t a fan of “Thursday Night Football.”

He made his feelings known once again when speaking to reporters Tuesday.

Sherman isn’t the only NFL player who’s not a fan of playing games on Thursday nights. It gives players less time to recover from Sunday’s game, coaches less time to prepare and travel can be an issue as well.

The on-field play has given validity to these concerns. Thursday night games have produced mostly low-quality football, and it doesn’t help that the matchups rarely pit two top-tier teams against each other.

Reports have suggested “Thursday Night Football” could be eliminated at some point, but the league denied it.
