Tiger Woods is going back to where his professional golf career began as he continues his grand return.

Woods announced Tuesday on his website that he’ll compete at the 2017 Genesis Open, according to Golf Digest’s Joel Beall. The tournament will take place between Feb. 13 and Feb. 17 at Riviera Country Club in Pacific Palisades, Calif., and it’s a full-field PGA Tour event.

“I’m very excited to come back to Riviera and compete in the Genesis Open,” Woods said. “This is where it all started for me. It was my first PGA TOUR event. I was 16 years old, I weighed about 105 pounds. It was a life-changing moment for me.”

The Genesis Open could be the second tournament on Woods’ personal comeback tour. He ended a year-plus-long absence from PGA play earlier this month when he competed in the Hero World Challenge.

The Tiger Woods Foundation will host the Genesis Open. Perhaps that will inspire him to win his first PGA Tour event since 2013?
