There are no two ways about it, Vontaze Burfict does not have the best reputation in the NFL.
The Cincinnati Bengals linebacker has become notorious for his dirty hits and violent style of play, which have resulted in both fines and suspensions. That’s why it came as no surprise when he gave this response to Fox 19 in Cincinnati’s request for an interview.
It was certainly a rough day for Burfict and the Bengals. The team was officially eliminated from playoff contention after their 24-20 loss at home to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, with their season record currently sitting at 5-8-1.
Burfict’s day was particularly rough as he was put into the league’s concussion protocol after this scary collision with Steelers offensive lineman David DeCastro.
All thing considered, it was not a good day to be Vontaze Burfict.
