What Boston Bruins defenseman Torey Krug and Montreal Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher lack in size, they make up for in tenacity.
Both of them are under 6-feet tall, but they don’t shy away from a fight, and that was the case in Monday night’s game between the Bruins and Canadiens at Bell Centre in Montreal.
It started with a big hit by Gallagher on Krug along the boards in the Bruins’ zone during the first period. Gallagher kept pushing down on Krug after the initial hit, and it didn’t take them long after that to drop their gloves for a quick bout.
Gallagher got the takedown, but we’ll probably see more antics between these players before the season ends.
