The Boston Bruins have treaded water without Zdeno Chara, but they might not be undermanned for much longer.
Chara has been out since Nov. 22 with a lower body injury and will miss Saturday’s game against the Buffalo Sabres. The Bruins defenseman practiced Friday, however, and head coach Claude Julien believes we could see Big Z back in the lineup sooner rather than later.
“I think he’s getting pretty close,” Julien told reporters Friday, as aired on NESN’s “Big Bad Bruins Live.” “… I think that the term ‘day-to-day’ is really fitting right now.”
