Pablo Sandoval Starts Vs. Blue Jays Lefty Francisco Liriano, Eyes Slump’s End

The Boston Red Sox will put Pablo Sandoval in the lineup against Toronto Blue Jays left-hander Francisco Liriano on Wednesday night at Rogers Centre.

Sandoval, a switch-hitter, is only 1 for 11 against lefties this season, but the Red Sox seem to be giving him some time to work on his right-side swing.

If Sandoval doesn’t show any improvement in the coming months, the Red Sox might have to start looking at other options against left-handed pitching.
