WrestleMania 33 Live: Roman Reigns Tops The Undertaker In Thrilling Bout

by

Apr 3, 2017

12:07 a.m.: In a rather ominous moment, The Undertaker left his gloves, hat and jacket in the center of the ring and slowly proceeded out of the arena. Traditionally, that’s a gesture that indicates a fighter is retiring, meaning this probably was The Undertaker’s last match.

11:58 p.m.: For only the second time in his storied career, The Undertaker has lost at WrestleMania. Roman Reigns finally takes down the legend with his best spear of the night.

11:53 p.m.: What do they have to do? Even two violent spears aren’t enough for Roman Reigns to finish off The Undertaker.

11:48 p.m.: How?! The Undertaker’s Tombstone Piledriver isn’t enough as Roman Reigns kicks out after a two-count.

11:47 p.m.: The Undertaker delivers his second chokeslam of the match, this time onto a steel chair.

11:42 p.m.: Roman Reigns recovers from Taker’s chokeslam, as the Big Dog spears the Dead Man right through an announce table.

11:41 p.m.: Roman Reigns is going to feel this one in the morning. The Undertaker plants Reigns with a vicious chokeslam through the announce table.

11:36 p.m.: This match is no-holds-barred, and Roman Reigns is taking full advantage of that.

11:33 p.m.: The Undertaker tosses Roman Reigns out of the ring and has a message for the young superstar.

11:25 p.m.: And it’s only fitting the main event is called by legendary announcer Jim Ross.

11:23 p.m.: The final match of the night is upon us. Roman Reigns goes to battle against The Undertaker, who is a remarkable 23-1 in WrestleMania matches over the course of his career.

11:15 p.m.: We have a new champion! Orlando native Naomi makes Alexa Bliss tap out and brings home the Smackdown women’s title.

11:05 p.m.: Alexa Bliss will have her work cut out for her as she defends her Smackdown women’s championship against five other competitors.

11:02 p.m.: This one was all Brock Lesnar. “The Beast” ripped off ten consecutive suplexes, followed by an emphatic F5 which was all Lesnar needed to win the WWE Universal title.

10:58 p.m.: The two wasted no time getting things going in this one. Brock Lesnar kicked things off with a series of suplexes, followed by a brutal spear from Goldberg.

10:48 p.m.: In a rivalry that’s lasted over a decade, Goldberg will defend his WWE Universal title against Brock Lesnar.

10:41 p.m.: This time, Randy Orton made his finisher count. A second RKO to Bray Wyatt earned “The Viper” the 13th world title of his career.

10:38 p.m.: Bray Wyatt had been dominating, but Randy Orton changed the tone of the match with an RKO outside of the ring.

10:33 p.m.: We’re not quite sure what’s going on, but we know it’s weird.

10:25 p.m. The WWE championship is up for grabs as Bray Wyatt defends his title against Randy Orton.

10:11 p.m.: The Kingslayer prevails! After Stephanie McMahon was sent through a table, a distracted Triple H walked right into Pedigree from Seth Rollins, who pulled off the impressive victory.

10:06 p.m.: It seemed like it was all she wrote after Triple H landed a pedigree, but Seth Rollins mustered up just enough energy to kick out.

9:59 p.m.: Triple H continues to have no remorse for Seth Rollins’ injured knee.

9:49 p.m.: Seth Rollins’ surgically repaired knee has become a focal point of attack for Triple H.

9:48 p.m.: Seth Rollins brought Triple H onto the announce table, but the wily veteran reversed the hold and planted Rollins with a violent DDT.

9:45 p.m.: The two are taking full advantage of the no-rules stipulation as they’ve already taken the battle out of the ring.

9:38 p.m.: There is no love lost between Triple H and Seth Rollins, and the two will battle it out in a no sanctions match that is sure to produce carnage.

9:29 p.m.: John Cena and Nikki Bella win the match, but the fireworks didn’t end there.

9:26 p.m.: A double five-knuckle shuffle!

9:25 p.m.: The Miz tried some smack talk, but Nikki Bella wasn’t having any of it.

8:52 p.m.: It didn’t take long for the Hardy Boyz to get back to their old ways.

8:51 p.m.: The match was originally supposed to feature three teams, but a surprise fourth unit has been added to the mix. The Hardy Boyz are back!

8:42 p.m.: Destruction is in the forecast as a ladder match for the Raw tag team titles is set to get underway.

8:38 p.m.: A brief break from the in-ring action to commemorate the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2017, led by Kurt Angle.

8:32 p.m.: She did it! Bayley hangs on to her Raw women’s title after finishing Charlotte Flair with an elbow drop from the top rope.

8:29 p.m.: Charlotte Flair demonstrated her veteran experience, as she withstood Sasha Banks’ flurry en route to the second elimination of the match.

8:24 p.m.: It took all three of the other contestants, but Nia Jax is the first woman eliminated.

8:15 p.m.: Bayley’s dream came true when she won the Raw women’s title, but now she’ll have to defend it against three other women: Nia Jax, Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair.

8:08 p.m.: We have a new United States champion! Kevin Owens breaks Chris Jericho with a powerbomb off of the side of the ring to win the title.

8:05 p.m.: This time Kevin Owens tried his own finisher, the Pop-Up Powerbomb, but it wasn’t enough to finish off Chris Jericho.

8:03 p.m.: In arguably the greatest form of wrestling disrespect, Kevin Owens tries to finish Chris Jericho with Y2J’s own finishing move.

7:53 p.m.: Kevin Owens is the aggressor early on, as he plants Chris Jericho with a cannonball right into the ring post.

7:48 p.m.: Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens have a tumultuous history, and the two will settle their differences in the ring, with the United States title on the line.

7:18 p.m.: The main card is underway, as Shane McMahon and AJ Styles will battle it out.

6:46 p.m.: Baron Corbin put up quite the fight, but Dean Ambrose’s Dirty Deeds allowed the champion to retain his title.

6:42 p.m.: It’s clear Dean Ambrose is willing to do whatever it takes to hang on to his belt.

6:15 p.m.: Mojo Rawley looked down for the count, so his buddy Gronk decided to step in and help.

6:09 p.m.: Group-effort eliminations seem to be the theme of this match.
