The Boston Bruins made a splash in the NHL trade market Sunday by acquiring top-six forward Rick Nash from the New York Rangers in a deal involving players and draft picks.
Nash is expected to make his debut Sunday night against the Sabres, who the Bruins will play in Buffalo at 5 p.m. ET. Nash already is in Buffalo and took questions from reporters a few hours before puck drop.
The veteran forward will wear No. 61 with the B’s, and if he does play versus the Sabres, he’s expected to slot in on David Krejci’s right wing on the second line.
A pair of backup goalies will get the start. Anton Khudobin will be between the pipes for Boston, while former Bruin Chad Johnson will oppose him in the Buffalo net.
