Failing to capitalize on great chances proved to be a theme for the Boston Bruins early in Thursday’s game against the St. Louis Blues.

Among these squandered opportunities came from Boston’s second line in the first period. After Jake DeBrusk maneuvered the puck up the ice, the young winger failed to connect with David Krejci, who was positioned right in front of the Blues’ net.
