The Boston Bruins look like the winners of the NHL trade deadline on Tuesday night.

Deadline pickup Rick Nash showed off his defense by saving a goal and his offense by scoring one during the first period alone against the Carolina Hurricanes, but he wasn’t the only B’s pickup to get in on the action.

Tommy Wingels, who the Bruins acquired in a trade with the Chicago Blackhawks on Monday, scored his first goal with the B’s in the second period, prompting a roar from the TD Garden crowd.

It was Wingels’ second point of the game. His hard work on Riley Nash’s first-period goal earned him an assist.
