Boston Celtics fans cannot wait to see Gordon Hayward emerge from the tunnel, take the TD Garden floor and play some basketball.

This likely will have to wait until next season, but the C’s faithful got a little taste Wednesday of things to come.

Celtics players, coaches and staff got together at center court for the annual team photo hours before Boston’s matchup with the Charlotte Hornets. And Hayward was in attendance, wearing full uniform for the first time since his ankle injury that he suffered Oct. 17.

It’s easy to notice that Hayward walked out onto the court without a limp. This doesn’t come as too much of a surprise, as the star forward continues to make great strides in his recovery. Despite impressive progress, however, Celtics coach Brad Stevens remains of the belief that Hayward will not return from injury this season.

Either way, it’s good to see Hayward rocking the No. 20 jersey again.
