Danica Patrick is smitten with new boyfriend Aaron Rodgers, but her dad might not be as big of a fan of the Green Bay Packers quarterback.
T.J. Patrick apparently wasn’t happy with NFL players who elected to protest during the national anthem during the 2017 season. He posted a number of comments and posts on Facebook asking what the players are protesting and compared Colin Kaepernick to former running back Glen Coffee who joined the military after one season with the San Francisco 49ers.
Rodgers never knelt but linked arms with teammates to show unity and asked fans to do the same.
Well, Rodgers showed up to support Patrick in her final running of the Daytona 500, and a picture was taken of Rodgers and Patrick with their hands over their heart during the national anthem.
T.J. Patrick apparently couldn’t resist.
Patrick’s father shared the photo on his Facebook, and in the comments appeared to take a clear shot at Rodgers and other NFL players by writing, “No kneeling in NASCAR !! Hand in heart!!”
Appears Rodgers and his potential father-in-law didn’t exactly get off on the right foot.
The star QB has had his fair share of relationship drama recently so it might be prudent for him to stay single for a little while.
