The Blake Bortles era appears to be living on in Jacksonville.

Bortles reportedly is finalizing a multi-year extension with the Jaguars that will keep him in Jacksonville for the next three seasons, according to multiple reports.

So far this offseason, there were reports that the Jags would consider cutting Bortles if they could get their hands on a better quarterback, such as Kirk Cousins. In fact, as recently as Friday, ProFootballTalk’s Mike Florio reported via a source with knowledge of the team’s plans that Jacksonville would consider trying to upgrade.

Obviously, that has since changed as the Jags appear committed to the signal-caller who has led them the past four seasons, which reached its peak this past season with a trip to the AFC Championship Game.

Bortles has played — and started — every game the past three seasons, most recently throwing for 3,687 yards with 21 touchdowns and 13 interceptions this past season.
