For quite a while, the Major League Baseball offseason was pretty quiet.

But then it heated up, and it heated up fast, as the Red Sox reportedly agreed to a deal with free-agent slugger J.D. Martinez earlier this week. NESN’s Tom Caron caught up with Red Sox president and CEO Sam Kennedy to discuss the bizarre offseason.
