It’s never too early to talk about analytics in baseball.

Boston Red Sox manager Alex Cora removed ace Chris Sale after six innings in the season-opening loss to the Tampa Bay Rays, and Hall of Famer Jim Rice noted the effect the analytics movement has had on the way teams manage the game, specifically the pitching staff.
