Bill Belichick Swiftly Shuts Down Reporter Over Tom Brady Question

Bill Belichick does not enjoy repeating himself.

So when an out-of-town reporter asked him Tuesday to reiterate whether he and quarterback Tom Brady have sat down this offseason, the New England Patriots coach wasn’t having it.

“Yeah, I covered that the other day,” Belichick said during his media availability at the NFL coaches breakfast in Orlando, Fla. “It’s on every Internet site you’d want to find. I’m sure we could pull it up for you.”

As Belichick alluded to, he previously had been asked about his interaction with Brady during an impromptu news conference Sunday night that only New England media attended.

“I’ve had direct conversations with Tom, many times obviously through a long period of time,” Belichick said at the time. “I’ll rely on those conversations that I have with him directly rather than something else. Tom and I have always had a good line of communication. We’ve always been able to talk directly to each other. I don’t see that changing.”

The Patriots’ official Twitter account made sure to share that story shortly after Belichick’s Tuesday morning availability concluded.
