Bruins Take Lead Over Lightning With Surge Late In First Period

The Boston Bruins entered the first intermission ahead of the Tampa Bay Lightning on Thursday after scoring two goals 32 seconds apart in the final minute of the opening period.

Tim Schaller gave the Bruins their first goal after he crashed the net to deflect the puck past goalie Andrei Vasilevskiy. David Pastrnak notched Boston’s second goal on the power play just 32 seconds later.
