The New England Patriots weren’t the only ones who decided to help students participate in Saturday’s March for Our Lives in Washington, D.C.

Patriots owner Robert Kraft lent one of the Patriots’ planes to students from Parkland, Fla., in order to help the survivors of the tragic shooting make their voices heard on the issue of gun control.

And Carmelo Anthony did his part as well.

The Oklahoma City Thunder forward helped bus 4,500 students, approximately 80-90 busses, from Baltimore to Washington, D.C. to get to the March for Our Lives.

“To kind of see how it was all unfolding, and see kind of the impact that the youth have right now,” Anthony said, per Fred Katz of Norman Transcript. “It’s a special moment, especially for me, and I think for everyone to see how powerful the youth are right now and the voices are being heard right now. And that’s the most important part.”

Marches took place all across the world Saturday with 500,000 people expected to attend in Washington, D.C. The marches come during a year that already has seen 17 school shootings, according to CNN.

More than 800 events were set to take place across the globe Saturday, according to the event’s website. Their goal, as stated on the website, is “to demand that a comprehensive and effective bill be immediately brought before Congress to address these gun issues.”
