Last offseason Logan Ryan left the New England Patriots to sign a three-year, $30 million contract with the Tennessee Titans. And one year later, his former New England secondary mate reportedly is set to join him in Nashville.

Malcolm Butler, who went from Super Bowl XLIX hero to being benched in Super Bowl LII during his Patriots tenure, reportedly agreed to sign a five-year, $61 million deal with the Titans, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

And Ryan was ecstatic that his former Pats running mate would be suiting up with him next season.

Butler’s addition gives the Titans the ability to move Ryan to the No. 2 corner position and shift Adoree’ Jackson into the slot, which was an area of need for Tennessee heading into the offseason. It also allows the Titans to shift their draft focus to linebacker and wide receiver now that the secondary is shored up.

Ryan certainly has a lot of reason to celebrate now that his friend is coming to the AFC South.
