Here’s What John Cena Thinks About Rob Gronkowski Possibly Joining WWE

Nobody is entirely sure what Rob Gronkowski’s next move is.

Since the moments following the New England Patriots’ Super Bowl LII loss, murmurs about the tight end’s future have been swirling, with a departure from football to become an actor or join WWE being among the possibilities.

John Cena is both one of the most prominent figures in WWE and a self-described Pats fan, and he weighed in on the possibility of Gronk hopping into the ring.

His feelings are mixed.

“If Gronkowski wants to come on board, I think he’d be a perfect fit,” Cena said to Sports Illustrated. “He does not lack in the energy department, so I think he’d be just fine.

“I’m a fan of the Patriots, so I hope he keeps catching footballs,” Cena added. “He’s really good at that. Hopefully Gronkowski can have a career as long as Tom Brady.”

Certainly sounds like Cena doesn’t want the 28-year-old to join him anytime soon.

Patriots fans are waiting with hefty amounts of anxiety to see what Gronk’s next move proves to be, but it sounds like no matter the decision, Cena will benefit from it in some form or fashion.
