Danny Amendola is making a few changes in his life this season.
The veteran wide receiver signed a two-year contract with the Miami Dolphins earlier this month, ending his five-year tenure with the New England Patriots. And if you believe the tabloids, Amendola and his girlfriend, Olivia Culpo, also are heading their separate ways.
Amendola and Culpo have split after dating for about two years, according to multiple reports.
On the surface, there’s an obvious reason for the break-up: Amendola is relocating to Miami while Culpo, a Rhode Island native, still resides in the Boston area. A source told Us Weekly the break-up “had to do with the distance and them barely seeing each other.”
According to the source, though, Amendola also “wasn’t happy” with Culpo’s appearance in Sports Illustrated’s most recent Swimsuit Issue. An E! News source added Amendola “couldn’t handle Olivia’s demanding lifestyle” and “wasn’t pleased with certain choices she was making.”
That’s all speculation, of course, but it does appear the two have gone their separate ways: Amendola recently unfollowed Culpo on Instagram and deleted the couple’s pictures together, per Barstool Sports.
