Boston Celtics head coach Brad Stevens provided an update Saturday on Jaylen Brown, and the results were mixed.
Brown entered the NBA’s concussion protocol this week after a nasty post-dunk fall against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Thursday. And while Stevens revealed Brown suffered no structural damage, he did confirm the 21-year-old has a concussion and will not play Sunday night against the Indiana Pacers.
Here’s some additional info on Brown’s timetable, per MassLive’s Jay King:
As King noted, Brown and the Celtics are fortunate a more serious injury didn’t occur.
Still, a concussion is nothing to mess around with, and the C’s surely will play it safe with the talented young swingman.
