Jaylen Brown Injury: Celtics Star Placed In NBA Concussion Protocol

It looks like Jaylen Brown is going to miss some time.

The Boston Celtics guard left Thursday’s game against the Minnesota Timberwolves after taking nasty post-dunk fall in the third quarter. Brown was sent to a local hospital and eventually flew home with the team, encouraging signs after what initially looked like a very, very serious injury.

The Celtics on Friday announced the 21-year-old has been placed in the NBA’s concussion protocol, which means he’ll be out indefinitely.

Let’s hope Brown makes a quick and full recovery.

The Celtics’ next game is Sunday night against the Indiana Pacers at TD Garden. There’s been no word yet on whether Brown has been ruled out for the contest, but the C’s likely will be extra careful with the rising star.
