LiAngelo Ball believes he’s ready for the big time.

The younger brother of Los Angeles Lakers point guard Lonzo Ball has declared for the 2018 NBA Draft, his agent, Harrison Gaines, told Yahoo Sports’ Shams Charania. Ball, 19, has submitted the required paperwork to enter the draft as a so-called “early-entry” player. He currently plays for Lithuanian first-division club BC Prienai but he’s expected to return stateside in May in order to work out for NBA teams and participate in the Pro Basketball Combine at IMG Academy.

Ball left UCLA in December after the university suspended him for the season in the aftermath of a shoplifting incident in China. He has thrived in Lithuania, leading the league in scoring since his arrival with 15.7 points and shooting 45 percent from 3-point range in nine first-division games.

Ball doesn’t appear on most NBA Mock Draft boards, but that doesn’t mean a team won’t take a gamble on him in the real draft.
