4:05 p.m.: Teddy Bridgewater has a chance to make some good money this season in his one-year deal with the New York Jets.
4:01 p.m.: It’s now past 4 p.m. on the East Coast, meaning the NFL’s new year has begun, and teams are starting to officially announce roster moves.
3:30 p.m.: The Denver Broncos are expected to sign Case Keenum, which means they’re about to have a surplus of quarterbacks, meaning Trevor Siemian soon could have a new home.
3:20 p.m.: The New England Patriots have their eyes on arguably the top pass rusher available, according to the Boston Herald’s Jeff Howe.
3:15 p.m.: Teams in the market for a tight end can now consider Eric Ebron after the Detroit Lions were unable to trade him.
2:50 p.m.: Trent Murphy, who attracted interest from multiple teams (including the Patriots), has decided on the Buffalo Bills.
2 p.m.: Joe Thomas is done with football.
1:25 p.m.: Well, here’s an interesting bit of news. FOX Sports’ Jay Glazer says the Arizona Cardinals are releasing Tyrann Mathieu.
12:25 p.m.: We passed along the news earlier that Jordy Nelson would have a strong market, and further indications are that certainly will be the case.
12:12 p.m.: Assuming he has anything left in the tank, this would be a good pickup for the Seattle Seahawks. Their running back situation was a mess last season.
11 a.m.: Ian Rapoport has more details about the Nate Solder contract.
10:56 a.m.: And now we have the reported specifics on Nate Solder’s agreement with the New York Giants. Like we said, he’s now a very rich man.
10:50 a.m.: Nate Solder is about to become a very, very rich man.
10:45 a.m.: The New England Patriots’ exodus continues, as Nate Solder reportedly is on his way to the New York Giants.
10:24 a.m.: The Houston Texans are going to work on that offensive line, which was a sieve last season.

9:17 a.m.: The Philadelphia Eagles weren’t going to let Nigel Bradham get away, reportedly coming to some pretty hefty terms with the free-agent linebacker.

8:51 a.m.: Here’s how the San Francisco 49ers reportedly will replace Carlos Hyde.
8:38 a.m.: Another free-agent tight end is off the board, and of course it’s the Cleveland Browns doing the honors.
Darren Fells to the Browns obviously isn’t a huge deal, but it’s another chance to look at the tight-end market. There has been some movement at the position with players like Jimmy Graham and Trey Burton reportedly agreeing to deals (and relatively big money in Burton’s case). You have to wonder how, if at all, this affects what happens with Rob Gronkowski and the New England Patriots.
8:18 a.m.: One of the most surprising moves Tuesday was the Green Bay Packers’ decision to release Jordy Nelson. Despite his age (he’ll be 33 to start the season) and injury history (most notably a torn ACL a few years ago), Nelson figures to have a decent market.
8:12 a.m.: The Browns are on a mission … whether it works out remains to be seen, of course, but Cleveland remains busy.
8:02 a.m.: Tuesday was a busy day for the New England Patriots, who saw Dion Lewis, Danny Amendola and Malcolm Butler all reportedly agree to deals with new teams. And there’s already some interesting news about the Patriots on Wednesday.
According to one report, the Patriots made an offer to quarterback A.J. McCarron. Meanwhile, it’s looking less and less likely free- agent tackle Nate Solder re-signs with the Patriots.
8 a.m.: As a blizzard hit parts of the East Coast on Tuesday, there was a flurry of activity across the NFL.
Free agency doesn’t officially begin until Wednesday afternoon at 4 p.m. ET, but with the legal tampering period underway, there was no shortage of reported deals throughout the day Tuesday.
