The Buffalo Bills are in need of a new quarterback.
The Bills recently moved on from their starting QB of the past three seasons, agreeing to trade Tyrod Taylor to the Cleveland Browns. Buffalo still has Nathan Peterman and Joe Webb on its quarterback depth chart, but neither signal-caller has shown they can handle a starting role.
Luckily for the Bills, there are a handful of serviceable QBs available on the open market. While Buffalo doesn’t appear to be in the mix for Kirk Cousins, they could be in on the next best options, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
There hasn’t been much chatter surrounding Sam Bradford, who could serve as a low-risk, high-reward for the Bills if he can stay healthy. There’s likely more of a market for Case Keenum, who has been tied to rumors with the Denver Broncos throughout the offseason.
Given the Bills’ latest transaction, however, their best bet might be addressing their quarterback need through the draft. Buffalo on Monday agreed to trade left tackle Cordy Glenn to the Cincinnati Bengals, who will swap first-round picks with the Bills in this year’s draft. Buffalo now owns the No. 12 overall pick, which provides the team a great shot at scooping up one of the top QB prospects in this year’s class.
