NFL Rumors: Jordy Nelson To Visit These Three Teams After Packers Release

Jordy Nelson should be confident of catching on with a new team.

The former Green Bay Packers receiver will conduct a busy recruitment tour Wednesday and Thursday with planned visits to three teams on his itinerary, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

The Packers’ decision to release Nelson surprised many, given his recent history as one of the NFL’s top receivers. Aaron Rodgers called the departure of one of his favorite targets a “sad day,” and other teammates also lamented Nelson’s exit on social media.

The demand for Nelson’s services will remain strong, despite the fact he turns 33 in May. The Raiders, Seahawks and Saints can make a positive impression early in his free-agency process. While that won’t necessarily close the door on other potential suitors, but New England Patriots fans probably shouldn’t expect Nelson to turn up in Foxboro next season.
