NFL Rumors: These Three Teams In Lead To Sign Ndamukong Suh

Ndamukong Suh is one of the biggest names remaining on the NFL free-agent market, and there reportedly is quite the competition for his services.

The 31-year-old defensive tackle was released by the Miami Dolphins when the new league year began, prompting widespread speculation about possible landing spots for the five-time Pro Bowl selection.

While the Nebraska product is sure to draw interest from a number of teams, there reportedly are three clubs that are leading the pack, according to ESPN’s Dan Graziano.

“Yeah, Suh spent the last couple of days in New Orleans with the Saints,” Graziano said Sunday on “SportsCenter.” “He’s headed now to Tennessee to talk to the Titans. The Seattle Seahawks retain some interest. So he’s got a lot of interest, not surprisingly so. And I think what’s interesting is now you look at Seattle versus New Orleans versus Tennessee. New Orleans and Tennessee were playoff teams last year, Seattle wasn’t. It’s amazing how quickly things change in this league. If Suh, who’s on the north side of 30, might be looking for a chance to compete for a title right away, those other two spots might look a little better to him than Seattle does.”

The Titans already have made moves this offseason, signing Malcolm Butler and Dion Lewis from the New England Patriots. Adding Suh would give the Titans a dominant presence in the middle of their defense alongside Jurrell Casey.

Seattle, on the other hand, is looking to remake a defense that has lost Michael Bennett, Richard Sherman and Sheldon Richardson this offseason and reportedly could trade safety Earl Thomas.

While these three teams appear to be in the driver’s seat, don’t rule out the Patriots. New England always seems to be in the mix for veteran free agents and Suh would certainly fill an area of need.
