The UConn women’s basketball team is 147-2 in its last 149 games.
But those two losses? Last-second, buzzer-beating defeats in the Final Four.
The first game came last season when Mississippi State’s Morgan Williams ended the Huskies’ 111-game winning streak in dramatic fashion. And history repeated itself Friday night, when Notre Dame’s Arike Ogunbowale beat the buzzer to send the top-seeded Fighting Irish to the championship game of the 2018 NCAA Tournament.

The loss dropped UConn to 36-1 and ended the program’s bid for an astounding 12th national championship. Something tells us Geno Auriemma and Co. will be right here next season, though.
