New England Patriots defensive end Adrian Clayborn does not sound like he’s a fan of the NFL’s latest rule change.
The league approved a rule Tuesday that makes it a penalty for a player to lower their head to initiate contact with the head. And while it was made with player safety in mind, many already have weighed in on the change with frustration.
Among them the Pats’ newest defensive lineman.
NFL.com’s Judy Battista pointed out a specific example that was used to describe the type of helmet-to-helmet hits that the league has an issue with, and Clayborn responded.
He certainly has a point.
It is unclear how exactly the league plans on enforcing the rule, but they seem intent on doing it. Even if it bothers Clayborn and others.
