The New England Patriots released the most obscure player on their Super Bowl LII 53-man roster.

The Patriots cut wide receiver/returner Bernard Reedy on Wednesday, the team announced.

The Patriots waived defensive end Caleb Kidder on Tuesday. He cleared waivers, becoming a free agent, Wednesday. They also released tight end Martellus Bennett.

The Patriots have 60 players on their roster and 15 free agents.

They have Kenny Britt, Brandin Cooks, Phillip Dorsett, Julian Edelman, Chris Hogan, Malcolm Mitchell, Cody Hollister and Riley McCarron on their wide receiver depth chart.
