Both Brady parents apparently found a teaching moment in the New England Patriots’ heartbreak.
ABC’s “Good Morning America” aired a brief clip Wednesday morning of quarterback Tom Brady revealing what he told his children following the Patriots’ loss to the Philadelphia Eagles in Super Bowl LII.
“Benny was crying, Vivi was crying and they were sad for me and sad for the Patriots,” Brady said, referring to his 8-year-old son, Benjamin, and 5-year-old daughter, Vivian. “But I just said to them, ‘Look, you guys, this is a great lesson. We don’t always win. We try our best and sometimes it doesn’t go the way we want.’ ”
Brady’s wife, Gisele Bundchen, delivered a similar lesson to the Brady bunch — including Brady’s oldest son, 10-year-old John — after the loss. She actually drew some criticism for telling them, “you have to let someone else win sometimes,” but it seems husband and wife were on the same page in their messaging.
Brady’s comments were a teaser from the unreleased final episode of his Facebook series, “Tom Vs Time.” The Pats QB will reveal when Episode 6 will drop next Monday during an appearance on “Good Morning America.”
