There are a number of reasons to love sports, but chief among them is the ability to deliver spine-tingling moments.
Take Tuesday night’s spring training game between the Toronto Blue Jays and St. Louis Cardinals in Montreal for example.
We know what you are thinking, but hear us out.
With the game scoreless in the bottom of the ninth inning, Blue Jays outfielder Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (yes, that Vladimir Guerrero) stepped to the dish and absolutely hammered a no-doubt walk-off home run.
Take a look:
Now that’s cool.
Guerrero, a 2018 Hall of Fame inductee, began his illustrious career in Montreal with the Expos, playing seven years North of the Border before heading to the then-Anaheim Angels. So this was a special moment, as his son clubbed a home run in his former ballpark while wearing his father’s No. 27.
Guerrero Jr. is one of the top prospects in the Blue Jays’ system and is slated to start the season in Double-A.
