Show of hands: Who had the “Dunk of the Year” coming out of the Big Sky Conference?
That’s what we thought.
Friday’s Big Sky tournament semifinal game between Northern Colorado and Montana set the standard for — in all seriousness — one of the most epic dunks you’ll ever see. With just over two minutes to go and the score tied 74-74, Northern Colorado guard Jordan David showed no regard for human life.

Absurd.
This wasn’t Davis’ first insane dunk during the Big Sky tourney, however. During the Bears’ 82-59 dismantling of the Northern Arizona Lumberjacks on Tuesday, he pulled off a similar slam.
What an animal.
Now, ranking dunks is an imperfect science, as sometimes the most skillful slams lack jaw-dropping power, and vice versa. Still, Davis’ dunk against Montana is one the most incredible we’ve ever seen.
Was it as ridiculous some of Blake Griffin and Vince Carter’s most thunderous slams? Maybe not — but if you eliminate star power, stage and other ancillary pieces from the equation, Davis’ rim-rocking devastation stands among the greats.
Alas, his team lost 91-89 in overtime, so the dunk soon could fade into obscurity.
