What a difference a few minutes can make.
Down 4-1 to the Carolina Hurricanes with 10 minutes to play, the Boston Bruins made an unbelievable turnaround, scoring four unanswered goals to take the 5-4 lead. Moments later, David Pastrnak added a fifth goal on an empty-netter, securing a third-period hat trick and the 6-4 win.
Matt Grzelcyk got the scoring going by pulling the B’s within two on a wrister at 10:04.
Just 56 seconds later, Pastrnak cut the deficit to one.
Danton Heinen erased the Canes’ lead altogether with a tally 21 seconds after Pastrnak scored.
With all the momentum on their side, Boston took the lead at 16:30 with another goal from Pastrnak, this time on the power play.
Then, that was all she wrote.
What a wild finish.
