Watch Mets Pitcher Noah Syndergaard Strike Out Seven Straight Batters

It’s only early March, but New York Mets starter Noah Syndergaard already is stunning opposing batters.

The righty struck out seven (!) consecutive batters in the opening innings of the Mets’ 8-5 loss at the hands of the Washington Nationals.

All but two of the batters struck out swinging, with another getting called out on a check swing.

Take a look at the wild sequence:

Impressive.

The 25-year-old allowed just two hits and no runs over the 3 1/3 innings of work, with all seven of his strikeouts coming in order. And after suffering a lat injury that sidelined him almost the entire season, he clocked 100 mph 11 times during Thursday’s outing.

The Mets must be happy to have him back.
