Watch Slugger Giancarlo Stanton Blast Two Home Runs In Yankees Debut

Giancarlo Stanton’s New York Yankees tenure is off to a great start.

Not only did the reigning National League MVP club a home run in his first at-bat with the Bronx Bombers, he finished the game with a pair of dingers as the Yankees routed the Toronto Blue Jays 6-1.

First, he took Jays starter J.A. Happ opposite field.

Understandably, legendary Yankees radio voice John Sterling was hyped at Stanton’s first home run. Take a listen to his call:

If you couldn’t quite catch it, the call is “Giancarlo, non si può stopparlo!”, meaning, “Giancarlo, you can’t stop him!”

Stanton then went yard again, and his teammates made sure to give him the silent treatment the second time around.

Certainly a season debut to remember for Stanton.
