Texas Southern University is one of the hottest college-basketball teams in the country, but that might not help them in the NCAA Tournament.
The Tigers will face the Xavier Bulldogs on Friday night in Nashville at Bridgestone Arena in a Round of 64 game. As the top seed in the West Region, Xavier is expected to breeze past No. 16 Texas Southern. But the Tigers are riding a seven-game winning streak and have dreams of killing the championship hopes of one of this season’s giants.
Xavier reached the Elite Eight last season and has realistic ambitions of going to the Final Four and perhaps winning the tournament.
