Zdeno Chara Reminds Us To Reduce, Reuse, Recycle In Latest Instagram Win

Another day, another excellent Instagram post from Zdeno Chara.

The Boston Bruins defenseman, whose social media presence (thankfully) has increased in 2018, took to Instagram on Monday to offer his feelings on protecting the environment. Chara shared photos of his daughter holding a drawing she did of a forest, and he accompanied the pictures with this message:

“Yesterday I told my daughter Elliz about a group of people ‘WE ARE THE FOREST’ (original: ‘MY SME LES’) in Slovakia who restlessly and bravely try to save, protect and expand the borders of the old forest reservations before the logging in Slovak Tatras will effect the nature so much that the existence of wildlife will be endangered.

“She later sat down and made this beautiful drawing. I am so proud of her. I really admire and strongly support people who fight for the most important thing there is on this planet: Clean air, clean water, wildlife and the future of our generations. It’s up to us how our environment will look like in a few years. … #nature#environment #wwf #reuse #reduce#recycle”

To clarify: #wwf almost certainly is a hashtag about the World Wildlife Fund, rather than professional wrestling.

This Instagram post represents the latest example of Chara communicating a message we all need to hear. It ranks right up there with his homage to moms and his tribute to children.

As for Chara the hockey player, he apparently is nearing a return from the upper-body injury that’s kept him out of the Bruins’ last six games.
