Zlatan Ibrahimovic Announces Galaxy Transfer In Legendary LA Times Newspaper Ad

Zlatan Ibrahimovic will be a hit in the United States if he remains true to himself.

The soccer superstar announced his move from Manchester United to the Los Angeles Galaxy by taking out a full-page advertisement in Friday’s edition of The Los Angeles Times. To say Ibrahimovic’s ad was quintessential “Zlatan” is an understatement, since he delivers it in the form of a short letter to the City of Angels.

At the top of the page, it reads:

“Dear Los Angeles, You’re welcome.”

Ibrahimovic’s signature and the Galaxy crest appeared at the bottom of the page.

That’s it, folks.

Ibrahimovic, 36, has never lacked self-confidence in his soccer career and often demonstrates this via spectacular quotes.

If the highlight-reel goals he’s bound to score in MLS don’t grab the attention of the U.S. sporting public, media antics like these certainly will.
