Charles Barkley Ruthlessly Trolls Al Horford During Celtics-Bucks Game 1

Charles Barkley, once again, is trolling the Boston Celtics.

The ever-opinionated TNT analyst doubted the C’s throughout the regular season and routinely wound up with a foot in his mouth. During halftime of Sunday’s NBA playoff game between the Celtics and the Milwaukee Bucks, Barkley zeroed in on Boston forward Al Horford.

As Green Teamers well know, Horford is far from an electric superstar. The 31-year-old’s impact often can’t be found in a box score, as he’s among the NBA’s premier doers of “the little things.” But that didn’t stop Barkley from trolling Horford for his decidedly meh statistics.

“They made me retire when I was averaging that many points,” Barkley said.

OK, admit it: Barkley’s comment was pretty funny.

With Kyrie Irving out for the rest of the season, Horford will need to play a bigger role for the injury-riddled Celtics during the playoffs. In 72 games during the regular season, he averaged 12.9 points, 7.4 rebounds and 4.7 assists.

Are those good numbers? Absolutely. But Horford must be more productive if the C’s want to make any noise during the postseason.
