Giancarlo Stanton’s Brutal Start With Yankees Summed Up In This Wild Stat

The Giancarlo Stanton hype train has been slowed down in a big way.

While Stanton has mashed three home runs through his first 10 games with the New York Yankees, there’s been far more bad than good in pinstripes for the veteran slugger thus far.

Sunday arguably was Stanton’s roughest outing of the 2018 campaign, as he went 0-7 with five (!) strikeouts in the Yankees’ 8-7 loss to the Baltimore Orioles. Stanton’s dreadful afternoon came just five days after a five-strikeout game against the Tampa Bay Rays. As a result, the 28-year-old etched his name on an unfortunate record.

Yikes.

That said, Stanton still has 152 games left to turn things around. That starts Tuesday when the Yankees kick off a three-game series with the Boston Red Sox at Fenway Park.
