Hanley Ramirez Eager To Return To Red Sox Lineup After Injuring Wrist

Hanley Ramirez only missed one game with his wrist injury, but even that was too much downtime for the Boston Red Sox first baseman.

Ramirez suffered a wrist contusion after being hit by a Sonny Gray fastball during Boston’s 6-3 win over the New York Yankees on Thursday. He was out of the lineup Friday against the Baltimore Orioles but is back for Saturday’s second leg of the three-game series at Fenway Park.

Prior to the game, Ramirez talked with NESN’s Jahmai Webster about the injury, and how relieved he is to only have missed one game.

To hear Ramirez’s comments, check out the “Red Sox First Pitch” video above, presented by Men’s Wearhouse.
