To say Jordan Matthews is excited about being a New England Patriot would be a massive understatement.

Matthews had a close look at the Patriots as a member of the Bills last season, but the veteran wide receiver decided to take his talents to New England in free agency after one campaign in Buffalo.

The 25-year-old took to Twitter on Sunday to address his signing with the Patriots, and he couldn’t help but gush over his new team.

“I know I’m late but I wanted to take the first couple of days to really reflect on how far the Lord has brought me and what He’s calling me to do in New England,” Matthews writes. “The opportunity to play for the Patriots is the ultimate honor and I’m excited to get to work with the guys! LETS GO!!”

Matthews was a key piece of the Eagles’ offense in three seasons with Philadelphia before being traded to the Bills in the offseason leading up to the 2017 campaign. He’ll certainly have a chance to shine with the Patriots, especially now that Brandin Cooks has left town.
