The bad blood displayed Wednesday night at Fenway Park has Rob Gronkowski’s stamp of approval.
The Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees engaged in a bench-clearing brawl after Joe Kelly drilled Tyler Austin with a pitch in the seventh inning. The fight evidently caught Gronk’s attention because the New England Patriots tight end tweeted his excitement Thursday morning.
Gronk wasn’t alone in enjoying the fracas. Former Red Sox ace Pedro Martinez, among others, liked what he saw from Kelly, whose pitch seemingly was in retaliation for a questionable slide into second base by Austin earlier in the game.
