NFL Rumors: Odell Beckham Jr. Trade ‘Far More Likely Than Not’

It appears Odell Beckham Jr.’s days in New York could be numbered.

Rumors of a Beckham Jr. trade first began to circulate a few weeks ago, and the chatter only has increased as the days have gone by. While the New York Giants reportedly are not actively shopping Beckham Jr., one NFL insider believes the star wide receive eventually will be packing his bags.

During a Tuesday appearance on the “Dan Patrick Show,” CBS Sports’ Jason La Canfora explained why he believes “it’s far more likely than not” that the Giants ship OBJ out of town.

La Canfora’s report comes one day after a rumor surfaced that New York might lower its asking price for Beckham Jr. if he continues to be a headache. The only question now is, where might the 25-year-old land?

The Rams were the first team identified as being interested in trading for Beckham Jr., but Los Angeles went in a different direction Tuesday by reportedly trading for Brandin Cooks. The idea of the Patriots trading for Beckham Jr. flooded football fans’ minds after the Cooks trade, but La Canfora believes New England “won’t be in the market” for the three-time Pro Bowl selection.

It’s already been an absolutely chaotic NFL offseason thus far, so it only would be fitting if the Giants continued the theme by trading one of the best receivers in the game.
