Another chapter has begun in the Odell Beckham Jr. offseason saga.

Plenty of trade rumors surrounded the New York Giants wide receiver after it was reported he planned to sit out until he received a new contract.

But now it’s believed around the league that the 25-year-old will not be traded before or during this year’s draft, per ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Despite the Giants insisting they do not want to trade Beckham, they reportedly were listening to offers, and wanted two first-round picks in return if they were going to part ways with him. The Los Angeles Rams reportedly showed interest in Beckham, but that interest faded after the team acquired wide receiver Brandin Cooks from the New England Patriots in exchange for a first-round pick.

It was believed Beckham would hold out until he received a new deal from New York, but he reported to the team’s offseason workout program Monday. Even though the program isn’t mandatory, head coach Pat Shurmur said it was important for all of the players to be present in order to help rebuild their culture, per ESPN.

Beckham missed a majority of the 2017 season with a fractured ankle, but still managed to have the second-most touchdown receptions for the Giants with three through four games.
