Red Sox Have Hilarious Follow Up On Offseason Tweet About Yankees

Well, it looks like baseball’s most notable rivalry has restored its ferocity.

The dynamic between the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees had been relatively subdued over the past few seasons, but the 2018 campaign already has revived it in a major way.

This was well documented Wednesday night at Fenway Park, as the benches cleared not once, but twice. And in the second act, a full-out brawl broke out after the Yankees’ Tyler Austin charged the mound at Red Sox reliever Joe Kelly.

Boston clearly had tremendous foresight about the rivalry being renewed this season, and it reminded everyone of this with a great follow-up tweet amid the chaos at Fenway.

The Red Sox’s initial tweet came after the Yankees made the blockbuster trade for Giancarlo Stanton, and with both teams now loaded with star power and World Series hopes, we have a feeling this only is the beginning of an exciting season-long battle.
