Red Sox Pitchers Taking Serious Approach To Hitting In Interleague Play

Boston Red Sox pitchers will get a chance to swing the stick in the team’s next two games, and you probably shouldn’t chalk them up as automatic outs.

Brian Johnson and Chris Sale are scheduled to toe the rubber in Boston’s two games against the Marlins in Miami, and both pitchers have been preparing for interleague play in batting practice. In fact, Red Sox hitting coach Tim Hyers says competition has developed among pitchers in the cage.
